João Barradas is one of the most respected and widely recognised European accordionists today, moving between classical music, jazz and improv, having won some of the most important international competitions. In the jazz field, he has recorded for New York's Inner Circle Music label and collaborated with several renowned artists. His first album for Inner Circle, entitled Directions, was nominated for "Best Album of the Year" by the Downbeat magazine in 2016.

At Festival CONTRAPESO #3, as he has done on some of the world's most prestigious stages, he will perform a solo accordion jazz concert in which he promises to present us with all his mastery.
